Galahad

Galahad is a knight of the Round Table, depicted as the most purest and perfect of all the knights who finds the Holy Grail. He is the illegitimate son of Lancelot and Elaine of Corbenic. The origin behind his name is uncertain, either derived from an obscure Welsh origin or it could be derived from Gilead, the name of a region east of JordanIt comes from Hebrew gi’lad meaning “monument; memorial” though I’ve seen other possible meanings attributed to it such as: “monument of testimony”; “harsh”, rude” from Arabic jal’ad; “perptual fountain”, “heap of stones” or “camel hump”. Whatever its true meaning is, it seems to have something to do with a mountaineous region.

Nicknames: Gal, Gally
