Questa is the feminine form of Quest, an English word referring to a journey or search for something. It comes from Old French queste (search; act; instance of searching) via Latin quaesta (search, inquiry) via quaerere (to seek, gain, ask) derived from a PIE root word.

Questa is also an Italian feminine adjective of questo meaning “this, these”, and is the name of a village in New Mexico which originated as a misspelling of cuesta, the Spanish word for “ridge, slope”.
