Neven is a Croatian, Macedonian, and Serbian male name, the masculine form of Nevena meaning “marigold”. Neven is also an anglicized form of Naoimbin, an Irish name meaning “little saint”, made up from Irish naomh (saint) and the diminutive suffix -an. Never may also be a Breton name which derives from neñv meaning “sky; heaven” which ultimately derives from a PIE root word.
