Lorna

Lorna is a female given name first coined by English novelist R.D. Blackmore for his novel Lorna Doone (1869). It appears he may have based it on a Scottish locational name, Lorne, of unknown meaning; I’ve seen some sources list it as deriving from Celtic loverno meaning “fox” but I can’t say how accurate that is.
