Dejan

Dejan (pr. day-yan; Forvois a South Slavic male name derived from South Slavic word dejati meaning “to act, to do” via Proto-Slavic *děti (to put, to place; to do) which ultimately derives from PIE root word *dʰeh₁- (to do, put, place). I’ve also seen it listed as possibly being related to Latin deus meaning “god, deity” derived from PIE *deywós (god) via root word *dyew- (to be bright; sky, heaven).

Dejan (pr. day-han; Forvo) is also a Spanish word, the third-person plural form of dejar meaning “to leave”

Origin: Proto-Indo-European
