Greyston

Greyston comes from an English surname, a variant spelling of Grayston meaning “gray stone” made up of Old English elements grǣġ (grey) and stān (stone). It’s also possible that the first element is derived from Middle English greyve meaning “steward” combined with the patronymic suffix -son, with would make it a variant of Grayson.
